My name is Sammy Jo, I'm a painter turned third generation Leathersmith.
My family laid down roots in Oklahoma and Texas, I've made my way to New Mexico continuing our heritage of leather work.
Named after my grandma Betty Jo (Pictured, black hat), it only seemed right to make her a part of this adventure and do my best to contribute to the Western Arts!
I strive to make unique pieces that combine my experiences in a variety of mediums. Everything that comes out of my studio is hand made, hand stitched and made with A LOT of love...I still use Betty's leather mallet!
